Tribal Notary

Tribal Notary

Our tribal notaries — acknowledged by the Privy Council — provide witness to your declarations, stamp your documents, and affirm your standing on the land under the authority of He Whakaputanga 1835.

What is a Tribal Notary?

A tribal notary is a member of the council authorised to witness declarations, stamp and certify documents, and attest to the identity and standing of living men and women on the land. Our council tribal notaries are acknowledged by the Privy Council. Unlike conventional notaries who operate under state legal systems, our tribal notaries serve under the sovereign authority of He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni 1835 — the foundational declaration of this land.
